I was devastated to her the news about Deborah having only recently exchanged texts with her. Deborah was supportive, kind, funny and someone whose company I always enjoyed and who's advice I could trust. Londoners may not appreciate how much she did for them but those of us who worked with her over the years will recognise the enormous contribution she made to the city. Her wisdom, calmness in crises, the support to colleagues and leadership made London a better place.
