I am so deeply saddened at Deborah's untimely death. She has been a huge force for public health in London - always calm in an emergency, considered in her responses, friendly and approachable - she will be deeply missed by all. Deborah had been a mentor to me since I first started with the HPA in 2006, we had a close working relationship and had become friends over the years. She was always an enormous support and someone I could turn to for help and advice, both personally and professionally. I will miss her greatly and my thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends and loved ones. May she rest in peace xxx
