When Deborah appointed me as a Consultant back in 2007 she welcomed me to the health protection family and made it clear that she had my back and would look after me. Over the years she has been the most amazing role model, colleague and friend. She always knew the right advice to give and the best course of action in any situation. Deborah spoke about her family with such love and pride and so when I met Frank, when he joined us in the LCRC, I was not surprised to find he has the same openness, kindness and time for everyone that Deborah had. She will be so sorely missed by us all and my heart goes out to her family and friends.
