The human touch

I am so sad to hear of Deborah's passing. We were colleagues in many different situations but I remember most speaking to her about her reflections on the public meetings held in the aftermath of the Grenfell Tower fire. She felt the pain and anger of those there, but never shied away from continuing to attend and contribute to these. A true professional yes, supremely calm and composed under pressure, but also a compassionate human being who brought this into her work and it is perhaps this which made her stand out.
